I have successfully passed the AIPP Portfolio Assessment and am now an Accredited Professional Photographer with the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography).
Here is an explanation of Accredited Professional Photographer from the AIPP website:
An accredited professional combines a love and passion for their craft with a dedication to running their business in an ethical, and professional manner and a desire to give you the ultimate customer experience .
Trained, Educated and Skilled…
• “Trained” because all Accredited professionals must have a minimum of 2 years experience with on the job training, or have completed a formal RTO approved photographic program before they can apply to become Accredited Members of the AIPP.
• “Educated” because all Accredited professionals need to continue to continue their professional development by taking part in the AIPP CPD program.
• “Skilled” because all Accredited professionals are encouraged to improve their skill through taking part in the AIPP awards programs, learning from their peers and increasing their craft and skill.
